Sanhua is pleased to announce the release of the CBVP Series, a new generation of CO₂ ball valves with integrated check valve technology, developed specifically for commercial transcritical CO₂ refrigeration applications. The new product line combines multiple essential functions into a single compact component, helping OEMs, contractors and system designers simplify installation while enhancing operational safety and reliability.

As CO₂ refrigeration continues to gains increasing importance across supermarkets and other commercial and industrial refrigeration applications, the demand for safer, more efficient, and easier-to-maintain system architectures is growing. The CBVP series meets these requirements by combining a ball valve, check valve, and service valve in a single compact unit designed for a pressure of 140 bar. This reduces the number of components and the installation effort.

The valve was specifically developed for installation in branched systems and suction lines, where protecting the evaporators and preventing hazards from trapped liquid CO₂ are critical. Thanks to the check valve integrated directly into the assembly, the CBVP series contributes to greater system safety while also providing easy service access.

Three Functions. One Compact Solution.

A key advantage of the CBVP Series is its compact, space-saving design with a working pressure of 140 bar. Instead of multiple separate components, the valve combines the following functions:

• Ball valve for shutting off the system

• Integrated check valve functionality

• Service valve functionality for maintenance operations

This integrated concept simplifies field installation and provides refrigeration professionals with a practical solution for modern CO₂ systems.

The service valve design also represents a safer alternative to conventional Schrader service connections and offers improved reliability and a longer service life. A full-metal valve cap delivers effective secondary sealing, further supporting long-term system integrity.

Additional Benefits

• Compact design that saves installation space by integrating three functions into a single component

• The check valve piston for pressure relief applications is serviceable

• Improved reliability compared with conventional Schrader Valve Solutions

• Availability with or without an integrated service valve

• A unique combination of ball-, check- and service valve in a single product

Engineered for CO₂ Applications

The CBVP series, developed specifically for R744 CO₂ refrigeration systems, offers:

• Maximum operating pressure: 140 bar

• Operating temperature range: -40°C to +150°C

• Suitability for liquid, suction, and discharge lines

• PED certification, with UL certification in progress

• Optional insulation shell available

Supporting the Future of Sustainable Refrigeration

The launch of the CBVP Series reinforces Sanhua's commitment to supporting the growing adoption of natural refrigerants. By combining safety-focused design, simplified installation and service-friendly functionality, the new valve series provides refrigeration professionals with a practical and innovative solution for next-generation CO₂ refrigeration systems.
